To gain a more in-depth understanding of the sector and its contribution to Ontario’s economy, and the province as a whole, the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration commissioned Pollara to conduct a two-phase research study of Not for Profit and Charitable organizations in Ontario. This report discusses the results of the second phase of research, a combined online- and telephone-based study of Ontario Not-for-Profit and Charitable organizations. In total, 3,567 responses are included in the analysis: 1,939 responses collected via the telephone instrument, and 1,628 responses collected from the online instrument. The survey covers the scope of organizational activities, the types and amount of revenues, the human resources of organizations, and an assessment of the priorities and top concerns of NFP and Charitable organizations.
