In 2019, the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) undertook a survey of planners in partnership with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). The survey was adapted from previous surveys carried out in 2009, 2011, and 2012. The 2019 survey covers 4 broad themes: Awareness of the impact of climate change on planning issues; Climate change sources of knowledge and information; Climate change tools; and Barriers to incorporating the effects of climate change planning into planning work.
