Beginning in July, 2025, patients who receive a PaRx prescription will be eligible for five free visits to select Niagara Peninsula watershed conservation areas where parking fees are charged. This includes the Ball’s Falls, Binbrook, Chippawa Creek, and Long Beach sites of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA). The NPCA is partnering with PaRx to make the prescriptions possible.

PaRx is Canada’s national nature prescription program, lead by the BC Parks Foundation in collaboration with healthcare professionals, parks organizations, and nature groups across the country. The PaRx program has grown rapidly since its launch in 2020. Now, more than 18,000 licensed health professionals across Canada are prescribing nature for conditions ranging from anxiety and depression to high blood pressure and chronic stress.
