According to the Canadian Health Measures Survey conducted from 2007-2009, over half of Canadian children and adolescents aged 6 to 19 years old are affected by dental caries. This Evidence Brief asks: What dental/oral hygiene program delivery models are most effective at preventing dental caries in school- aged children? Included are descriptions of different types of prevention activities, settings and service providers.
