This is a collaborative program with the Department of Community Health Sciences, Brock University, the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine- Niagara Regional Campus, McMaster University and health system partners in Niagara. The focus of this program is to engage students and health system staff in collaborative learning in a hybrid approach with face to face workshops, online learning and an applied project experience. This past year (2012-13) was a pilot phase of the program which resulted in six projects with the Niagara Health System.  Teams work on important topics in the health setting in relation to improving safety, patient-centred care, efficiency, effectiveness and equity. For this coming year 2013-2014 there will be 10 projects in the Niagara Health System, long term care setting and rehabilitation. Click here to watch a video overview of the project.
