This toolkit assists residences and organizations working with older adults to establish strategies for tackling bullying specifically between older people. Though existing best practices that target bullying behaviours amongst other populations help to inform this Toolkit, the focus is on older adults. As such,  special consideration is given to this age group by utilizing the results from the Seniors’ Bullying in Ontario Project, funded by SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council).

The senior to senior anti-bullying project is a partnership between Sheridan College Centre for Elder Research, Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario and the Bob Rumball Canadian Centre of Excellence for the Deaf. It aims to better understand senior to senior bullying in Ontario, and support the development of best practices and strategies for this diverse population.
