Niagara Economic Development (NED) has developed a five-year strategic action plan in partnership and collaboration with Brock University, Niagara College, local businesses, industry associations, chambers of commerce and community stakeholders. Over the past year, Niagara Economic Development has been consulting with the Niagara community on the economic future of the region. Local educational and research institutions, businesses, industry associations, chambers of commerce and community stakeholders have brought forward their experiences, ideas and passion for the region. This collaborative effort helped to identify the areas where Niagara excels, and the gaps that need to be addressed in the regional economy.
The activities of the Economic Development Strategy focus on strengthening the region’s competitive advantages, as well as addressing weaknesses and gaps in the regional economy.
