Increasingly, health organizations in Canada are recognizing the climate crisis as a health emergency which exacerbates existing inequities, and calls for increased action at multiple levels.
In this webinar recording, the Canadian Poverty, Health Equity, and Climate Change initiative (CPHECC) and the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health (NCCDH) explore issues often marginalized in the dominant climate change and health discourse. These issues include the intersections between poverty, climate, women’s health and health equity. Presenters critically reflect on how the Canadian print media frames issues of climate change, poverty, and women’s health.
