Niagara Region’s climate change work program looks at both mitigation and adaptation, within the Niagara Region corporation and in the community. In January of 2009, Regional Council endorsed Niagara’s participation in the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) Program, which outlined five milestones for municipalities to work through to take action on climate change, both corporately and the community. This report details the combined results of the process to date and outlines ongoing and new activities within the community. This resource is also included in the Sustainable Niagara Action Database.
