This brief is a culmination of the research that took place during Niagara Community Observatory’s binational prosperity initiative, funded in part by the Niagara Community Foundation and the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The research features industry asset maps, estimated employment counts, a transit analysis, and a look at previous Census data in an effort to understand the current employment landscape in Niagara. This sets the NCO up for further research in the coming year, in partnership with the Niagara Workforce Planning Board, where they will be using the latest Census data and custom tabulations to gain deeper insight into Niagara’s employment issues.
