DESCRIPTION:Tuesday March 3rd is the World Wildlife Day! You are all invited to celebrate the event at 6 pm at the Fine Grind Café in St Catharines. We have a couple of speakers discussing the importance of wildlife in our lives from animals to plants and more. The theme is on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants… but with a twist! \nHosted by Liette Vasseur – Professor\, Biological Sciences; UNESCO Chair in Community Sustainability: from local to global; Member of the Brock Environmental Sustainability Research Centre. \nHear from: \nDr. Gotanda\, Assistant Professor in the Biological Sciences department\, discusses wild animals and their use of medicinal and aromatic plants. \nAnne Yagi from the environmental organization 8 Trees\, focusing on connecting people with wildlife and local sustainability initiatives through their work in ecological restoration and community-based science education.
