SUMMARY:Enhancing Access to Spaces for Everyone (EASE) 2026-27: Funding Application deadline May 7\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Ontario Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility announces that the 2026–27 Enhancing Access to Spaces for Everyone (EASE) Grant is now open for applications. The EASE Grant supports small capital and retrofit projects that improve accessibility in outdoor spaces and the built environment\, helping create more welcoming\, inclusive communities for people with disabilities and older adults across Ontario. \nThe 2026–27 EASE Grant will provide up to $60\,000 per successful applicant to support projects that: \n\nImprove accessibility in outdoor spaces and the built environment\, including housing\nGo above and beyond requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and/or the Ontario Building Code\nHelp remove barriers and create opportunities for broader community participation and inclusion\nProjects must take place between October 1\, 2026 and October 31\, 2027.\n\nEligible applicants include: \n\nMunicipalities\nNot-for-profit incorporated organizations\nIndigenous governing bodies\n\nEligible Projects may include\, but are not limited to: \n\nAccessibility retrofits such as automatic doors\, barrier-free entrances\, ramps\, or universal washrooms\nEnhanced wayfinding systems\, including braille signage and tactile indicators\nOutdoor accessibility features such as mobility mats\, accessible trails\, charging stations for mobility devices\, benches\, lighting\, or inclusive playground equipment\nAccessibility upgrades to community centres\, employment hubs\, housing common areas\, and other shared public spaces\n\nProjects that support an existing municipal accessibility plan\, age-friendly community plan\, or organizational strategic plan are strongly encouraged and may receive additional points during evaluation. \nWebinars \nInformation webinars held during the weeks of April 6\, 2026 and April 20\, 2026 to provide an overview of the program and tips for completing the application.  Additional details will be shared through TPON\, and a recorded session will also be posted. \nApplication Process \n\nApplications must be submitted electronically through Transfer Payment Ontario (TPON) https://www.tpon.gov.on.ca/tpon/psLogin\n\n\n\n\nRegistration or updates to TPON accounts can take up to two (2) weeks\, so applicants are encouraged to get started early.\n\n\n\n\nOnly one (1) application per applicant will be accepted\nApplications must include all mandatory supporting documents to be submitted and considered\nIncomplete or late applications will not be considered for funding\n\nTechnical questions about TPON can be directed to Transfer Payment Ontario Client Care: \nPh: (416) 325-6691 or 1-855-216-3090 \nEmail: transferpaymentontarioCC@ontario.ca \nFunding webpage: https://www.ontario.ca/page/available-funding-opportunities-ontario-government#section-2 \nYou are encouraged to consult with your local Regional Development Advisor to discuss your project and ask questions unique to your situation: https://www.ontario.ca/page/regional-development-advisors

DESCRIPTION:OCASI (Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants)\, in collaboration with Future Black Female and the Coalition to End Violence Against Women (CEVAW)\, invites you to this one-day Hybrid Forum.  See the Eventbrite registration page for additional information\, and to register. \nThe objective of the full-day professional development training forum is to support settlement service staff in better understanding how newcomer\, immigrant\, and refugee settlement challenges intersect with safety\, gender-based violence\, and experiences of trauma. The training aims to strengthen staff confidence in building safer spaces and in engaging clients through culturally safe\, trauma and violence-informed\, and prevention-focused approaches.
