Join Scientists in School for the grand finale of the 2019 Workshop series to explore and discover some scientific aspects behind the ingredients in wine, beer or your favorite drink. Journey into the microscopic world of grapes, try and contain your yeast chemical experiment, and investigate how much sugar is in your wine.
The guide through this exciting, hands-on adventure will be Carla Sterling. Carla is a Research Scientist in Epilepsy by training and has a B.SC. in Neurophysiology from the University of Toronto. Part of Scientists in School since 2005, Carla is an integral part of the classroom program development team, works with topic teams, and also helps to mentor and train new presenters. Over the years, Carla has ignited the spark of STEM excitement in thousands of young scientists.
This is not your high school chemistry class. When this event is over, you’ll be able to WOW friends and family with your latest science knowledge. No experience is necessary.
