Lessons Learned from David Booth: Literacy, the Arts, and Poetry

The evening will start with a session on Lessons Learned from David Booth, which will be presented by guest speaker Larry Swartz. Larry Swartz will also engage participants in a Word by Word: Vocabulary Strategies presentation. Attendees will also hear educators lead a variety of book talks and gain instructional strategies.

Larry Swartz is an instructor in Literacy and Dramatic Arts at OISE where he uses children’s literature to help young people grow as readers, writers, and world citizens.

David Booth was an OISE professor who authored many teacher reference books and textbooks in all areas of curriculum development: The Arts, Drama, Literacy, and Media.

Attendees will receive a free book from Pembroke Publishers!
