Google Analytics is a powerful tool for understanding what’s working, and what’s not, with your online projects. It can also be used as a tool for online fundraising. If your organization has a website, as well as a web page that accepts donations, chances are it is already tracked with Google Analytics.
But are you getting any insights from this powerful tool? Google Analytics generates a lot of ‘vanity metrics’ that give an illusion of progress, but don’t help you get better online results. It can also be overwhelming, filled with jargon and strange numbers that don’t make a lot of sense.
