Residents of Old Town in Niagara-on-the-Lake and others interested in nature conservation are invited to attend the first Friends of One Mile Creek public meeting in several years.
The purpose of this group is to collaborate with the community and relevant agencies to work efficiently toward restoring and revitalizing the water, wildlife and natural environment of the One Mile Creek watershed in NOTL. The Friends of One Mile Creek champion the role of private citizens to make a difference in protecting our natural environment.
Special guest speaker Jocelyn Baker will talk about building sustainable communities, using the One Mile Creek watershed plan as an example.
Networking begins at 6:30 p.m., and the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. There is no admission cost, but participants are kindly asked to RSVP.
This event is hosted by Friends of One Mile Creek.
