AgriTech Hackathon brings together individuals, businesses and educational institutions for a three day event to find solutions to challenges for the agriculture and ecotourism sectors.

A hackathon is an event that fosters innovation and collaboration with the goal of expanding technology development. Current challenges in the agricultural industry are identified and tech solutions are proposed. Multiple teams will be asked to find probable solutions to a series of given challenges for the agriculture and eco- tourism sectors.

The AgriTech Hackathon is designed to not only help solve problems, but enable a connection and conversation between our rural and urban communities.

There are five AgriTech Hackathon Challenges:

  • Soil erosion and depletion
  • Diseases and pests
  • Infrastructure
  • Ecotourism and sustainability
  • Production and environment

Keynote speaker: Dr. Greg Baiden, CEO, Penguin Automated Systems Inc.

This event is hosted by the Town of Lincoln & Spark Niagara.
