DESCRIPTION:A new National Institute on Ageing-affiliated study is looking for participants age 55 years or older and interested\, to participate in a research study in Southwestern Ontario\, exploring how voice assistants\, such as Google NEST can support well being and independence among older adults aging in place. \nIf someone you know aged 55+ is interested in participating\, they can complete the eligibility survey provided on the SOARWell-AiP study website.   Recruitment is on-going\, and participants may be invited to participate up to 12 months after submission of the eligibility survey. \n

Julie Christiansen\, author\, international speaker & Psychotherapist will speak on “How to Create Radical\, Positive\, Lasting Change”. \nProceeds from this event ensure individuals in our community will continue to receive free access to CMHA Niagara’s urgent\, preventative and crisis intervention mental health & addictions services. \nThe event will be held at the Ovation Ballroom\, 1311 Egerter Rd.\, Thorold. Cost is $30 per ticket.

SUMMARY:2025 Ontario Bike Summit
DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Ontario Bike Summit will be held in Windsor from May 27th – 30th\, 2025 at the Caesars Windsor Hotel. \nThe Summit will begin on Tuesday May 27th with our Bicycle Friendly Community workshop followed by our opening reception. The next few days will include informative breakout and plenary sessions\, inspiring keynote speakers\, and mobile workshops. With the opening of the Gordie Howe Bridge later in 2025\, we are planning tours to showcase the active transportation infrastructure on and around the bridge in both Windsor and Detroit. The new National Urban Park in Windsor also offers an opportunity to showcase active transportation networks and integration.
