DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Christmas across two centuries of family farm life on a special candle-lit tour of the John Brown House.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis holiday experience is available for three dates only!\n\n\nThursday\, December 12\, 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. \n\n\nFriday\, December 13\, 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. \n\n\nSaturday\, December 14\, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEnjoy hot chocolate as you are led through the oldest home in St. Catharines\, built beginning in 1796. Discover stories of the farming families who once lived here and learn how Christmas traditions changed over time into the twentieth century. Each room will be candle-lit and decorated to reflect a different historical era.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTours begin every hour\, on the hour. \nTours are 50 minutes in length. Registration is encouraged\, but drop-in visitors are welcome. \nOpen by donation. \nRecommended $5 per person donation plus a non-perishable food item for Community Care of St. Catharines & Thorold.

DESCRIPTION:Bring your family and friends to enjoy the beauty of the winter season in the Village of Glen Elgin located at Ball’s Falls Conservation Area. \nTravel back in time as the historical village comes to life\, decorated for the holidays in early Victorian-era styles\, and heritage interpreters lead you through life in the 1800s. A variety of fun and family-friendly holiday activities and traditions await you! \nFAMILIES WILL ENJOY:\n\nSanta Station at the Centre for Conservation\nComplimentary face painting\nPhoto and Toy Station\nHoliday Craft and Colouring stations\nS’mores by the campfire\nHot chocolate station\n& more!!\n\nWhile you’re with us\, help us support our local food bank this holiday season! Guests are welcome to bring non-perishable food items that will be collected in support of Village of Hope Niagara. \nGeneral Admission (6+): $9 per person will collected upon arrival at the Centre for Conservation\, where you will begin your experience! \nApproximate duration: 1 ½ – 2 hours. We kindly ask visitors to limit their time to 2 hours to allow others to attend and experience the event throughout the day. Trails are open for self-guided hikes. Parking is limited\, so guests are encouraged to carpool. \nDogs are permitted at the conservation area but must remain on leash at all times. Dogs are not permitted within heritage buildings or other indoor spaces.
