DESCRIPTION:2nd Annual Country Harvest Soup Fest\, happening on Wednesday\, October 16\, 2024\, at the Event Court in the Niagara Pen Centre. This special event is hosted by Bethlehem Housing and Support Services and is powered by our popular Empty Bowls fundraiser. \n\nWhile this doesn’t replace our annual Empty Bowls event in March\, it’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a similar experience in a relaxed\, drop-by setting. Come anytime between 11:30am – 2:30pm and treat yourself to a delicious lunch featuring gourmet soups prepared by some of Niagara’s top chefs\, paired with fresh artisan breads. If you’re a soup lover like me\, this will be a real treat—there’s something for every taste\, and the menu already has my mouth watering! \n\nHere’s a sneak peek at some of the soups you’ll be able to try: \n\nChicken Wing Chowder with Irish Soda Bread by Randy Wilkes\, Doc Magilligan’s Restaurant and Irish Pub\nThai Coconut Lentil Soup by Michael Pasto\, Peanut Mill/Funky Funghi Gourmet Mushrooms\nRoasted Butternut Squash Soup with Cinnamon Tastcroutons and Bourbon Butter Drizzle by Sarah Grav\, The Manhattan Bar & Grill\nRoasted Pumpkin and Butternut Squash Soup by Jake Foster\, Lock Street Brewing Co.\nWhite Chicken Chili by Carley Thompson\, The Lazy Lizard\n\nPlus\, Zehrs Pen Centre will be providing Ace Bakery buns and beverages to complement these delicious soups. \n\nTickets will be available at the event\, but you can also get yours ahead of time here: Bethlehem Housing – Soup Fest Tickets. Every bowl of soup you enjoy helps support individuals and families in our community who are facing homelessness or are at risk due to poverty\, disability\, mental health struggles\, domestic violence\, or family breakdown with the supports they need to thrive.
