Indigenous Counseling Services @ Online
Nov 29 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Indigenous youth experience disproportionately high rates of family violence, suicide, substance abuse, and mental health problems such as depression and posttraumatic stress disorder. Indigenous counselling offers a safe and caring place that honors Indigenous knowledge, experience and healing.

The Indigenous Counselor treats mental health and life issues from Indigenous perspectives to relate to the diverse cultural backgrounds of Indigenous students.

This webinar will talk about common questions and challenges faced by counselors and other student services professionals in supporting Indigenous students on campus.

This webinar is hosted by the Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health.
