Community Forum on Human Trafficking in Niagara @ Silver Spire United Church
Oct 13 @ 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

This free, day-long forum’s purpose is to raise public awareness and educate community members about the issue of human trafficking and its footprint in Niagara.

The Keynote Speaker is The Honourable Rob Nicholson, MP Niagara Falls, former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada and current Justice Critic.

Join this forum for stories from local survivors, a screening of the animated short, “I am Little Red,” by 50 Eggs Films, a presentation from the YWCA on the Niagara Region Human Trafficking Emergency Response Protocol, a law enforcement panel discussion, presentations on Financial Industry tracking progress from Project Protect and break-out sessions for/on parents, youth, the hospitality sector and a labour trafficking case study.

A lunch is provided for those attending, so further information about advance registration for a head count will follow.
