Literacy Support for Struggling Readers @ Pelham Public Library - Fonthill Branch

Samantha Sendzik, Executive Director of the Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara Region (LDANR), will discuss the importance of early literacy support for children with diagnosed or suspected reading disabilities (dyslexia), as well as key indicators that parents and teachers can look for that might point to a potential learning disability.

Samantha will also review the literacy support programs offered in Niagara by LDANR, and how families can support their child’s literacy at home. This program is designed for families with child(ren) between kindergarten and grade 10 who are performing below grade level in literacy/reading.

Program offered in partnership with the John Howard Society.

This event is hosted by Pelham Public Library.
